Shader - Time is Right
North West based indie rock’n’roll band SHADER have signed to Manchester’s hottest indie label, 42’s Records and release their double A side debut single today, Friday 29 May 2020. Shader are Stu Whiston (vocals/guitars), Mike Lo Bosco (lead guitar), Daz Edwards (bass) and Tom Turney (drums).
The double A side features previously released track Be My Saviour and the new single Time Is Right.
If you buy the physical CD release of this double A side it also contains two bonus tracks, the new song Lately (demo) which shows a different side of Stu’s writing and an amazing live version of Rise.
Be My Saviour was released a few months back and I reviewed this previously and it’s a real indie banger. The video for the track can be viewed below:
The brand new track Time Is Right gets its debut today and when asked about the song mainwriter and lyricist Stu Whiston said:
Time Is RIght is about rising up from self-destruction, or out of isolation, it’s dedicated to the underdog in society. It’s about the point where a someone decides to pull themselves together and fight against the thoughts in their mind.
Time Is Right is an infectious swirl of melodic guitar riffs, offering an uplifting feel good vibe perfect for the current living conditions, a real call to action to get singing and bouncing along to the rhythm of the track.
I loved the opening lines “I seen it all go down the drain, I seen it all get washed away, still there’s no one left to blame, so I sit here and complain”.
And the oft repeated “and the time is right to let them know” will sound fantastic when it’s being chanted back to them once they can resume live gigs.
SHADER are building a reputation of writing absolute banging songs and Time Is Right will only enhance this, it’s a brilliant blast of Indie rock.
